The Quabbin Regional School District participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP). The School Nutrition department is made up of a team of school nutrition professionals that are dedicated to our students. We offer a variety of meal choices with the goal in mind: To provide Kid-Friendly meals that meet or exceed the latest state and federal (USDA) requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.
Our menus are based on the USDA meal patterns and food components. Schools must ensure that components meet age-specific caloric minimums and maximums, sodium and saturated fat restrictions and that, over the course of a week, certain colored vegetables must be offered.
